Kazanská

An afternoon walk down Kazanská with a camera, and a single sketch that started the whole thing. Mostly, though, this post is an excuse to see how photographs actually sit in this layout — click any image to open it full screen.

The street

The wide shot above breaks past the reading measure — the text stays at its comfortable line length, but the photograph runs wider, the way a hero image should. The smaller frames below sit in a gallery, three across:

Nothing here is interactive in the fancy sense — no scrollytelling, no animation. Just photographs that are allowed to be photographs: full-bleed when it helps, captioned, and zoomable without leaving the page.

The sketch

It began on paper. The drawing below is shown at the normal reading width — a tall image has no business going full-bleed — but it still opens to full screen on click, like the rest.

That's the whole experiment: better content first, so the layout has something worth showing.
