Field Notes

Short, unpolished, and dated only loosely. Each note is a single idea I didn't want to lose.

A good interface disappears; a great one is never noticed at all.

Some recurring themes:

  1. Constraints make taste legible.
  2. Most "ideas" are really just observations wearing a hat.
  3. If it needs a manual, redraw it.
